Yermi Brenner has been a communications consultant in the development sector since 2017, working mainly for Germany's leading development agency, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Yermi is passionate about working with organizations that are aligned with the core values enshrined in the United Nations Charter: peace, justice, respect, human rights, tolerance and solidarity.

Yermi worked six years as a communications consultant for the Employment and Skills for Development (E4D) in Africa programme, which promotes green jobs and green sectors in sub-Saharan countries. For this programme, which is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by the GIZ, Yermi developed, wrote and edited annual reports, newsletters and other communications materials.

Yermi led the editorial process of a report about the implementation of a United Nations framework for refugees in Uganda as well as other high profile publications by development and humanitarian organizations.
