Yermi Brenner is currently a Pubications Editor for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), where his responsibilities include editing reports and other publications to ensure they are structurally sound, focused, with a strong narrative, clear key messages and solid policy implications. Yermi was involved in the editing and proofreading of the Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction 2024, the Global Cooling Watch 2024 and a policy paper on addressing asbestos contaminants in products and in the environment.

Yermi worked six years as a communications consultant for the Employment and Skills for Development (E4D) in Africa programme, which promotes green jobs and green sectors in sub-Saharan countries. For this programme, which is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by the German development agency GIZ, Yermi developed, wrote and edited annual reports, newsletters, and other communications materials.

As a journalist, Yermi wrote feature articles about environmental issues (Greenwashing, 19 May 2014, Al Jazeera English, Is sustainable fashion the solution 07 November 2014, Deutsche Welle English).
